Dr. Jessica Koblenz is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of New York. She is a faculty member of Harlem Hospital, an affiliate of Columbia University, teaching the psychiatry residents and psychology doctoral students.
She obtained her doctorate from Long Island University and was trained at Bellevue Medical Center, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and Creedmoor Psychiatric Center. She was the Clinic Director of PSCH’s outpatient Mental Health Clinic in Canarsie, Brooklyn. Prior, she worked at Holliswood Hospital as the Director of Training for psychology doctoral students and mental health counseling students. She also worked as a Psychologist for the Military Wellness Program.
Her areas of clinical expertise include Trauma, Loss, Relationship Issues and Life Transitions. With extensive experience and training in acute psychiatric care, she is skilled in providing a calm space for those in crisis. She is both motivating and empathic in her work. She looks to comfort clients during difficult times and encourage them to make meaning out of their hardship to help them improve their lives. She is passionate about helping each client achieve his or her potential.
